On the 25th of September, Sonic racing crossworlds will be released. I haven't played the open network test, so what I say here is just pure speculation.
On of my worries is that the if the setting of the track changes each lap, it will make them less memorable, or make the layout less creative if you spend less time in each setting. I also hope that there will be a lot more variety, as Team Sonic Racing was kind of a let-down. I do have high hopes for Crossworlds though. However, theres one big problem I have with the game, and that is the price. €69,99 for a Sonic game is a gamble. I think I'll have to wait for a sale. A possible reason why the price might be so high is because of the abundance of crossovers. In recent years Sega has put a lot of effort into marketing Sonic through yearly campaigns. Sonic Superstars' marketing campaign, "Fast Friends Forever" highlighted the multiplayer aspect, the "Year of Shadow" made him the centre of attention due to the 3rd Sonic movie and the Shadow Generations portion of SxSg. It feels like this year, Sonic has been making more crossovers than ever (okay maybe there could be more in 1993 but I don't know).
