Sonic on Windows 3.1
Sega didn't really start making PC content until windows 95 rolled around. But Windows 3.1 is the best version of Windows, so Sonic has still had a few appearances in it Well, Sonic the Screensaver works, which is already very, very nice. I've also been able to emulate some Mega Drive games using Genecyst, a Genesis emulator for MS-DOS. I have also been able to play Sonic Fan Games using the klik and play engine, and I've also been able to run "Sonic Desktop Clock". There also exist a few other Sonic fangames for MS-DOS. However, I was not prepared to run Sonic's Schoolhouse. Okay. So I have been able to run Sonic's Schoolhouse, but the game crashes when answering the questions. So I ran it in dosbox-x rather than plain old dosbox and the game worked just fine! I've also been able to play Robotnik in Rebellion and an early version of SRB2 back in plain old DOSBOX via Click and Create! How cool is that? However, I've frequently reinstalled Windows for Workgroups 3.11, so I'm gonna make a list on which Sonic content I've been able to run on it. |
-Sonic Desktop Clock
-Sonic Boom (Klik and Play fangame)
-Tails and the quest for 100 rings
